Annual Contractor’s Day @ HoliMont
HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes. This year’s activities will include the 37th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill. Participants can also enjoy the infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, a vendor market and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps to celebrate and support our local community. Join in the fun for one of our most favorite days of the year!
5k De Mayo – Trailsquatch Trail Run
Grab your trail running shoes, friends, and family, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the 1st Annual 5K de Mayo Trailsquatch Trail Run at Holimont Resort in Ellicottville, New York! Explore the beautiful running trails and stunning mountain-top views for a 5K run that everyone will enjoy. But look out! You never know when you may run into the legendary TrailSquatch roaming the trails too. This is a race for all levels and ages. Competitors will enjoy a ride to the top on the Expo chairlift, receive a 5K de Mayo t-shirt, medal, and post-race Taco Party! All proceeds benefit the Ellicottville Great Valley Trail (EVGV). Stop, Drop, & Breathe Event @ HoliMont
HoliMont is hosting "Stop, Drop & Breathe" a Good Climb Endurance Challenge Event on March 16th from 1pm - 5pm. Use the Wim Hof Method to help with anxiety, depression, sleep and energy. Anxiety is the natural response to being overstimulated. Depression is the response to being sedentary/exhausted. Certified instructor Steve Beattie will help you harness the Wim Hof Method to help your mind and body change it up, so that you can get back to feeling better, both physically and mentally. 3rd Annual Dummy Downhill
DUMMIES NEED TO BE AT THE BASE OF SUNSET TRAIL BY 9:00AM TO BE PUT ON DISPLAY. 10:00AM DUMMIES NEED TO BE BROUGHT TO LAUNCH AREA. PARTICIPANTS (INDIVIDUALS OR TEAMS) BUILD “DUMMIES”, WHICH ARE LET LOOSE DOWN A STEEP RUN AND SENT FLYING OVER A JUMP. THE DUMMIES ARE LEFT TO THE MERCY OF GRAVITY, BALANCE, AND THEIR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AS THEY PLUMMET TO THE GROUND, HOPEFULLY AVOIDING DESTRUCTION. JUDGING IS BASED ON CONSTRUCTION, CREATIVITY, DISTANCE THEY FLY OFF THE JUMP AND THE CARNAGE FACTOR WHEN THEY LAND!! DUMMIES CAN BE MADE FROM A VARIETY OF MATERIALS AND CREATIVITY IS STRESSED TO DRESS OR DECORATE YOUR DUMMY TO LOOK HUMAN OR CARTOON CHARACTER LIKE. RULES AND REGULATIONS: ALL DUMMIES MUST BE UNMANNED. NO SLEDS. (DUMMY MUST BE ON SKIS OR SNOWBOARDS ONLY!). NO MOTORIZATION. NO FLAMES OR PYROTECHNICS. DUMMY MAY NOT EXCEED 6 FEET IN HEIGHT. DUMMY MAY NOT WEIGH MORE THAN 75LBS. NO SHARP OBJECTS ALLOWED ON DUMMY. TEAMS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP ALL DUMMY CARNAGE. ONLY 1 PERSON IS ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY THE DUMMY TO THE LAUNCH SITE. Torchlight Parade @ HoliMont
Celebrate MardiGras, St. Patrick's Day and HoliBreak with a fun dusk parade on Exhibition. HoliMont will be loading the chairlift at 7:00pm until 7:15pm so please be in the lift line ready to go at 7:00pm. Parade participants need to be able to ski down Exhibition unassisted and anyone 7 or younger will need to be accompanied by a guardian. HoliMont will disperse flares and glow sticks at the top. 7 year old and younger get Glow Sticks, 8 and older will get flares. Parade will begin around 7:45pm once they have everyone lined up and torches lit at the top. All Torches will need to be disposed of in the provided garbage in front of the Main Chalet!
Carpenter’s Corner
HoliMont Resort invites everyone to join them on the slopes at Carpenter's Corner Hut for a little lunch cookout on the hill. There will be hot dogs, sausages, beer/ wine and music will also be available. From 11:30am to 2:00pm. This event is open to the public. Later the same evening is the masquerade themed HoliMont 60th Anni- versary Party, which is for members and their guests only. So come out to Carpen- ter's Corner on March 9th and spend a nice afternoon at the cookout on the hill.
2024 Telefest
Telemark Clinics, Group Ski Tours, The latest Telemark Demos by The City Garage, and lunch by Dina’s at the Mont. $85 event ticket for HoliMont Members and $40 event ticket for Non-Members.
Ski 4 A Cure @ HoliMont
Event ticket price $115.00 . (Includes your lift ticket, food and access to games and entertainment for the day) HoliMont and Ski Club of Lockport are hosting a “Ski 4 a Cure” event to help raise money for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Come enjoy a day of skiing, food and entertainment, while supporting a great cause! Events for the day: Scavenger Hunt, Fun Race, Bombardier Ball Drop, Costume Parade, City Garage Demo Tent and Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing.
