Holiday Valley’s Torchlight Parade 2024
Ring in the New Year with the Holiday Valley New Year’s Eve Celebration, Groomer Parade, Torchlight Parade and spectacular fireworks display. Family friendly party in the main Lodge. Approximate times: Groomer Parade on Cindy’s Run at 11:15pm, torchlight parade at 11:30pm then the fireworks show at 11:45pm, ending at midnight. Canadian Friendship Week 2024

2025 Winter Blues Weekend

Bring it to the Ellicottville Distillery in anticipation of their annual Christmas Tree Bonfire on Saturday January 18th. The Distillery will open at 12:00pm that day. The 2nd of our rail jam series brought to you by our friends at Intense Milk, this free to enter rail jam is a fun time in the park for skiers and riders in the Rail Park at the base of Mardi Gras. The jam style format is free flowing, all about fun vibes, and hanging out with good friends!
Annual Contractor’s Day @ HoliMont
HoliMont Contractor’s Day is an event filled with many fun activities that take place on and off the slopes. This year’s activities will include the 37th annual Dave Pitkin Memorial Ski Race, dedicated to him to commemorate his enduring spirit, his contributions to the HoliMont Racing Club, and his part in creating the racing hill. Participants can also enjoy the infamous Bombardier Ball Drop, lunch provided by Dina’s at the Mont, a vendor market and an Apres Ski Party. This event is sponsored by many local businesses and helps to celebrate and support our local community. Join in the fun for one of our most favorite days of the year!
Christmas Eve Service
The United Church of Ellicottville has a longtime tradition of a candlelight service on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This tradition is one of the oldest traditions in Ellicottville’s history. The United Church of Ellicottville would like to welcome everyone to attend the candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 9:00 PM located at 53 Elizabeth St. All are welcome and we look forward to celebrating with you!
Punkin’ Chunkin” 2024
Come on out to 5462 Robbins Road on November 2nd from 12:00-6:00pm for the annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ event. What exactly is Punkin’ Chunkin’ you ask? Well, that’s where the distillery takes leftover pumpkins of various sizes (with some pretty big ones added just for the fun of it), and sends them soaring with the use of a full size trebuchet. A trebuchet is a catapult with a sling on the end to throw objects even farther; it’s operated with a counterweight that drops and sets the arm in motion. There will also be live music by The Hick Ups, food from the on-site food truck and more.
ELLICOTTVILLE TRUNK OR TREAT
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is once again teaming up with the Ellicottville Rotary club to bring it’s Halloween Trunk or Treat to life this October. October 31st from 5:00 - 7:00pm, kids of all ages can walk around the fun trunk displays, collecting candy from the local volunteers and then come inside the church for the Rotary’s not-so-spooky halloween party. Complete with games and sweet prizes. Looking forward to seeing our community members there.
GREAT VALLEY TRUCK OR TREAT
For the first year, Great Valley Fire Company is hosting a new Halloween event. Come down to the Firehall on October 31st for the Truck or Treat. (Yes, they said truck.) You can see the ambulances and firetrucks up close while collecting some tasty candy. The event runs 5:00pm to 7:00pm and everyone is welcome.
EVL HALLOWEEN HALF 2024
The EVL Halloween Half will be a fun filled Halloween-themed event on Saturday October 26, 2024. The event will feature a Half Marathon, 5k, and a Half Marathon Relay. We encourage runners of all abilities to join us! WHERE: The EVL Half begins and ends in the charming village of Ellicottville, NY. Running in the EVL Half Marathon will take you on 13.1 miles of beautiful countryside roads. WHEN: The Half will start at 11 AM on Monroe Street, NY in the Village of Ellicottville on Saturday, October 26, 2024! WHY: Because it is October and what could be more fun? The race will also benefit our charity partners - The Ellicottville Sport Boosters - a group dedicated to getting local children involved in athletics, as well as the local food pantry. Participants are invited to run in costume and enjoy other Halloween related activities but this is by no means mandatory. HOW: If you love running, wearing costumes, meeting other people, and having a great time, the EVL Half is for you! Thanks to NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, we have the privilege of having Eric join us on Sunday October 13th, to watch his creativity come to life. Eric is the Guinness World Record Holder for carving the World's Largest Jack-o'-lantern and his unique and intricate carvings on Food Network's Outrageous Pumpkins earned him the win in this past year's competition, and he was a finalist on Food Network's Halloween Wars. Not just a day on the saddle, you're riding to boost the Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail – a trail treasured by many. Be one of the first 50 to snag an early bird discount, or join the ranks of top fundraisers to win exclusive rewards. This is a fan favorite event among Ellicottville locals. Over 15 regional bands will perform throughout our legendary bars and restaurants, all free of charge. On Saturday, there will be a live outdoor performance by The Fleetwood Mac Experience at 1:00pm; and Sunday is Terry Buchwald’s Elvis show at 1:30pm. On Sunday the annual car and truck show, featuring over 250 vehicles, will take place on the Village Streets from noon until 5pm. Rock N’ Roll weekend has been an annual event in our community for over 20 years. It’s a perfect fall weekend for the whole family to enjoy! We have a 4-block radius full of wonderful dining experiences, boutiques, shops, and best of all, there’s entertainment on every corner.

Regardless of ability, this camp is designed for young mountain bikers who are eager to challenge themselves in our XC and DH skills and terrain on our lift serviced trail network. Four hours of instruction each day will include balancing exercises and body position tips for descending and climbing. Kids can expect to improve steering and cornering for more precise control, master braking and speed control, and confidently approach various features such as tabletops and drops

Final Summer Sunday Series: Tina Williams
Ellicottville Distillery's Summer Sunday Series will be closing out with September 1st's performance by longtime local favorite Tina Williams starting at 2:00pm, ending at 5:00pm! Tina Williams is a buffalo local, singer/songwriter who is also the lead screecher for Murder(!) The Band. With a wide variety of ability from punk to country, Tina is always worth watching. So head out to the Distillery, hear Tina and indulge in a locally made cocktail!

Last Skate with Kid Ace @ Ellicottville Village Park
Roller skate coach and yoga instructor Mary Smith (aka Kid Ace) is returning to Ellicottville to host the final week of a 3-week skate series with Daily City Train! This time, we’re taking it to the outdoor park! The one-hour progressive group workshop will run Monday evening, August 26th. Cost is $20. Choose from one of the following time slots: 5:30PM - 6:30PM, GETTING STARTED AT THE SKATEPARK: No drop-ins required! In this hour we’ll get familiar with the physics of transition. We’ll discuss what is what at a skatepark and Kid Ace will share her approach to getting started at the skatepark. Whether you are brand new to skating or brand new to park skating, join us to get more familiar in a skatepark environment and collect a bag of tricks you can get started with! 7:00PM - 8PM, SLIDES, GRINDS AND LINES: In this hour we will discuss the physics of slides and grinds as well as building lines in the bowl at the skatepark. This hour is appropriate for skaters who are familiar with the skatepark and are looking to build their skills in the streets and in transition. FEATURES: Expert coaching and one-on-one feedback. Each workshop will begin with a stretch warm-up. Build confidence so you can skate no matter where you go! All ages and all skill levels welcome. You will be challenged based on your own level of skating. This is a safe environment that allows you to decide the skills you want to learn and improve on. No pressure. No judgment. All encouragement! WHAT TO BRING: Roller skates. Protective gear (recommended). Water bottle. NOTE: If you do not have your own roller skates, Daily City Train has a few pairs available for an additional fee. Protective gear, if needed, is also available to rent for an additional fee. Summer Sunday Series: Ivy’s Home
Come over to Ellicottville Distillery in Ellicottville, NY for their "Sunday Series", featuring a variety of live music performances from 2 - 5pm on Sundays this summer! Come cool off with a drink and enjoy some great music! August 25th's performance is being presented by live music with Ivy's Home starting at 2:00pm, ending at 5:00pm! Ivy's Home is an Indie/Folk band based out of Rochester, NY. They have a great set of original works and bumping covers as well. So head out to the Distillery, hear Ivy's Home and indulge in a locally made cocktail!

The 1st Behind the Pine(Wood Derby)
Ready, Steady, Go! This weekend, the first Behind the Pine (Wood Derby) event will be racing off upstairs at Madigan’s on Washington Street. The event is this Sunday, the 18th and will go from 3 to 6 p.m. There will be car kits available for purchase at Madigan’s but a very limited amount. The Behind the Pine (Wood Derby) event directly benefits the construction of a new and more inclusive playground. If you can’t make it to the event but would still like to contribute, you can check out the Ellicottville Playground Facebook page for details. 5th Annual Distilled & Chilled Music Festival
The Ellicottville Distillery is ready to rock out at this year’s 5th Annual Distilled & Chilled Music Festival. The 5th annual Distilled & Chilled Music Festival will take place on Saturday, August 17th, on the grounds of Ellicottville Distillery, located at 5462 Robbins Road in Ellicottville. The event runs from 12:00-9:00pm, and admission is $20 at the gate, kids 12 years old and under are free. There will be two stages this year to fill in the change over time between acts on the main stage, featuring 9 music acts. The Main Stage will include performances by Captain Tom & The Hooligans, Kody & Herren, Marshmellow Overcoat, The Beard & The Bird, Fuzzy & The Rustbelts, and Porcelain Train. The Acoustic Stage will feature performances by Tina Williams, Jason Mirek and Brian Rick. Bigfoot Park Golf will a wonderful addition to the Distilled & Chilled Music Festival this year and attendees will be able to play a round throughout the event! Food trucks will be on-site as well.

4th Annual HillTAP Festival @ Holiday Valley
The 4th annual 42 North HillTAP Festival at Holiday Valley will be hosted atop Spruce Lake on Saturday, July 27. This day-long experience will allow guests to experience the natural beauty of Spruce Lake combined with great music, food, drink and outdoor fun! Smilo & the Ghost: 1-4PM, Spruce Lake Cabin Stage. Miller & The Other Sinners: 4 - 5:30PM, Tannenbaum Stage. Workingmans' Dead: 6 - 8:30PM, Tannenbaum Stage. Outdoor Adventure: All Day! The ticket includes a chair lift ride to Spruce Lake, a full day of music, and vendor experiences at the event. Children 10 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
2024 Tame the Tuna Regatta
Paddle 5.5 miles down the Tunungwant Creek, the "Tuna", during the "Tame the Tuna: 4.0 Regatta." Volunteers will take you and your kayak or canoe to the start of the regatta on the Tunungwant Creek, what the locals call the "Tuna Creek." You'll spend part of the day paddling and hanging out at stops along the way with your tasty beverages. When you hit the end of the run, volunteers will bring you and your gear back to the Limestone Fire Department. Costume? Wear a costume if you'd like with your life vest and other gear. Some groups show up wearing various themed outfits. Fees: $20.00 registration Fee.$14.00 Chicken BBQ if ordered with pre-registration.$15.00 BBQ available day of the event.Food and drink are available for purchase at stops along the way.
