The full moon in Leo invites us to find balance between the head and heart
At the time of this publishing we are under the light of quite a powerful full moon peaking on the 12th. This is strong from the 11th through the 15th – why is it powerful?
It’s in the sign of Leo which rules celebrities, leaders, heads of businesses, rulers of countries, and kingdoms. It can certainly also bring drama. (Note all the buzz this week around the Grammys and Super Bowl - astrology is about timing and never lies). On a more personal level, Leo is a fun-loving, highly creative, playful leadership energy which rules the heart.
With the sun in independent, bold, and intellectual Aquarius, which concerns the benefit of ALL, the blending of these opposites invites us to find balance between the head and the heart. This is the first full moon on this axis since the full arrival of Pluto into Aquarius, which will remain for the next 19 years.
The energy of our planet is going through massive changes. The Schumann Resonance (the frequency pulse of the earth) has been spiking, and our sun energy has been off the charts with solar flares, solar mass ejections, and geomagnetic storms causing radio blackouts. Add this to the full moon and you have earthquakes, typhoons, hurricanes, volcanoes, and other massive environmental events. Aquarius also involves the skies - air space, the flight industry - and there have been plenty of incidents to evidence this already.
How to work with this? Realize and admit to yourself what is simply not working and release it. Allow yourself to be open to new ways to express yourself, especially creatively. Take advantage of your own creative nature. Of course everyone is not a painter, but everyone does have creative ability. It might be writing a poem or a song, or doodling something, or watercolors, or beading - you get the idea. Maybe you enjoy crafting and decide to have your own online store!
The new moon in Pisces is on the 27th, and this will be a more internalized, quiet time, excellent for prayers, for meditation, therapy, for visiting your dreams, keeping a dream journal. It is a highly beautiful and creative time - be careful of over indulgence with anything relating to escapism. It may make you a little more emotional, tired, depressed. What did the great artists do during times of melancholy? They created some of the greatest works of all time. We are entering into a renaissance period on our planet. You may get divinely inspired during a nice long soak in a hot tub on what your next move should be!
This new moon invites you to go inwards, to reflect, and to document so you can really allow your emotions to surface. This way you can observe and allow them to process, rather than them remaining in the subconscious.
Be around or in water, visit a hot spring, or enjoy a sauna, any kind of hydro therapy, sensory deprivation (float tanks), celebrate water and take especially good care of your immune system, which is ruled by Pisces. Also take good care of your feet, and maybe even update your bedroom – all ruled by Pisces.
