Allegany State Park Hosts Event Every Wednesday Through February

SALAMANCA - Join Allegany State Park every Wednesday evening in January and February at 4:30pm for a trek into the sunset. Park Naturalists will lead interpretive snowshoe treks, or hikes if there is not enough snow. Witness a breathtaking winter sunset at Stone Tower, visit a secret beaver pond or hike along a creek. Be sure to dress for the weather, bring a flashlight, water, a snack, and a sense of adventure.

Need snowshoes? No problem! The park has several pairs to use during the program for FREE! Please call to reserve snowshoes by noon the day of each hike. For more information contact the Environmental Education/Recreation Department at 716-354-6263.

JANUARY

January 22- Bridal Falls - Meet at the parking lot of the tent and trailer store.

January 29- Camp Allegany - Meet at Camp Allegany.

FEBRUARY

February 5 - Quaker Bike Path- Meet at Quaker Rental

February 12-. Bear Paw - Meet at Summit Warming hut.

February 19 - Red Jacket/ Campground - Meet at Administration Building.

February 26- Hemlock Hollow - Meet at the Hemlock Hollow trail head, near the Red House Toll booth.
